Agricultural exports during the pandemic surpassed official forecasts and exceeded $28 bln.

Agriculture is one of few industries that demonstrated growth during the decline of the Russian economy due to COVID-19. That was mostly due to the fact that the Russian agribusiness never stopped operation during the pandemic, unlike catering, for example.

Of course, that is not the only reason. Actions of the Russian authorities and significant financing in the recent years yield the results: currently agriculture is a stable industry that can feed not only the Russian people but also people in other countries.

The experience of 2020 proves it: event during the peak demand in the spring of this year, the shelves of Russian stores were full and agricultural export exceeded official forecasts passed the $ 28 bln mark.
